ARH2 and ARL2
Fit
FlexFlex: the plates are bonded once with plaster on the articulator’s mounting plates, then every model mounts by magnets.
Installation
Plaster the two Flex plates once on the articulator’s own mounting plates. From then on the models seat on the plates by magnets, with no more plaster for the models. Then run the TrueZero™ calibration once on that articulator: the pin returns to zero.

Installation, step by step

How it goes on

Once per articulator: the plates are plastered on with the calibrator between them. Then every model mounts by magnets.

The photos show Flex on two different articulators. On yours the steps are the same.

  1. The two printed halves of the TrueZero calibrator on the build platform, still on their supports

    Print the calibrator

Print the two halves of the TrueZero™ calibrator on your own printer, with the same resin, settings and post-curing as your models. The fitting test before it picks the offset.

  2. Gloved hands holding the calibrator block between the Flex plates marked UPPER and LOWER

Seat the plates on the block

Join the calibrator halves into one rigid block. Seat the UPPER plate on the upper half and the LOWER plate on the lower half, and never swap them.

  3. Articulator front view with the incisal pin at zero and an elastic band stretched around it

Set the incisal pin at zero

Mount your articulator’s own split cast mounting plates, upper and lower. Set the incisal pin at zero and lock it.

  4. Calibrator block with Flex plates centred between the articulator members on the elastic band

    Centre on the elastic band

An elastic band around the articulator marks the Bonwill triangle. Centre the block between the members and line up its occlusal plane with the band.

  5. Plaster applied on the upper Flex plate under the articulator upper member

    Plaster the upper plate

A little silicone under the LOWER plate holds the block steady. Close the articulator, pin at zero, and plaster the UPPER plate to the upper mounting plate.

  6. Articulator closed on the calibrator with both Flex plates plastered

Then the lower, and let it set

Take out the silicone and plaster the LOWER plate the same way. Keep the articulator closed until the plaster has fully set.

  7. Flex upper and lower plates installed on the articulator with free space between them

    Take out the calibrator

Both plates are installed. From here on models mount by magnets, with no more plaster and no recalibration.

Brilliant design with strong customization (nine site options for different cases) and the mounting calibration, which should improve accuracy!

I was truly shocked: a milled provisional seated on the model, and everything lines up.

I've finally found a simple, effective system for printing models through the Model Creator module in Exocad, with a beautiful and extremely precise design. The models are lightweight and reduce resin consumption. They don't have bulky or outdated bases, and I don't have to change anything in my workflow — I can keep printing horizontally, with the added flexibility of managing the model base and the digital analogs. Fully approved!

In our CAD workflow, design is only half the job. We were looking for a system that would let us take a real step up in the manual verification of our projects, especially for tasks requiring a highly dynamic approach, such as checking a 3D-printed bite splint. With the new Dacos Omni, we found exactly what we needed. Thank you, Antonello

Questions about Dentatus

Is there a direct-fit kit for Dentatus?

No. Dentatus articulators take DACOS Omni Flex. The Flex plates are plastered once on the articulator’s own mounting plates, and from then on every model seats on the plates by magnets.

Do I still plaster models?

Only the two Flex plates are plastered, once, during the installation. The printed models seat on the plates by magnets. For a single case you can unscrew the Flex plates and plaster a model the traditional way, then screw them back.

What happens after the installation?

You run the TrueZero™ calibration once on that articulator. The calibration belongs to the articulator the plates are installed on, so the plates stay on it.

I have more than one Dentatus in the lab.

Each articulator takes its own set of plates, installed and calibrated on that articulator. Flex Plates are sold on their own for that.

More than one articulator?

Each articulator gets its own set of plates, calibrated on that articulator. Flex Plates cover one more articulator in the lab with the same magnetic workflow.
